This is the third bike I’ve owned. The first one, probably a Raleigh, was given to me by my parents when we moved to Karori, a suburb of Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much about it other than it was red. The second bike I owned was white, make long lost. I lent it to a colleague at work and it was crashed in quite a bad off road accident.
This Montari I purchased in 1992 with the insurance money from my second bike. At the moment it’s in pieces ongoing a ground up rebuild.
